HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS
All orders are placed with Tourguidesystems.uk which is a trading name for the business named Epic Audio Ltd
In the below “we”, “us” and “the company” refers to Tourguidesystems.uk. The “hirer”, “customer” or “you” refers to the person hiring equipment and/ or services from Tourguidesystems.uk.
We offer free delivery and return on all hire orders.
Hire orders will be delivered the working day before hire by one of our courier partners (DPD & FedEX). Tracking will be provided to your email and/or mobile number once your order has shipped.
Hire orders should be returned the working day after hire using a prepaid shipping label which will be provided with the order. The hirer should securely pack all hire equipment and drop-off at one of our courier partners (DPD & FedEx) collection points. A list of nearest collection points will be sent with your order.
Equipment hired will be entirely the responsibility of the hirer, who is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment. This liability begins on collection/ delivery of the equipment and ends upon its safe return to the company. Hirers must therefore ensure sufficient protection exists against theft, fire & damage through misuse. Items not returned will be charged for at full replacement costs.
Plugs, sockets and connectors must not be removed from any equipment. We supply a range of adaptors to suit all requirements that you must ask for if needed. Any item returned where a plug, socket or connector has been removed or tampered with will be subject to additional charge. Equipment must not be modified or disassembled in any way whatsoever without the prior express permission of the company.
The hirer will be responsible for ensuring all relevant regulations, rules and statutory provisions relating to the use of the hire equipment are complied with during the hire period and shall keep the company indemnified against all liability for any non-compliance with any such regulation of the company.
Hired items are, and remain the property of Tourguidesystems.uk at all times.
Any damage to hired equipment must be reported to the company within 24 hours of the damage being sustained. Equipment damaged or not returned at the end of the hire period is considered on hire until payment has been received for the repair/ replacement of the item. Any costs incurred by the company in fulfilling a hire following the loss/ damage of items of where equipment is returned in a condition not conclusive to re-hire will be passed on to the original hirer.
Any mistakes in supply, faulty equipment, or items not required, must be reported within 24 hours of delivery otherwise the full invoice charge for the hire or supply of the item will be levied.
The company accepts no responsibility for equipment that does not work when used in conjunction with equipment belonging to others or any other resources you may use (such as power supplies).
The cancellation of a hire booking less than 7 days before the due delivery or collection date will result in the full charge being applied for the hire less any delivery or collection charges.
Any deposits made for hire of equipment or supply of services for a production are taken to secure equipment, staff and facilities for such booking and are refundable to the hirer after the return of the equipment or completion of event. The equipment will be checked and tested before the security deposit will be returned. The deposit will be proportional to the cost of equipment being hired.
The company certifies that all the electrical equipment for hire is PAT tested on an annual basis. Furthermore each item is checked and tested for wear and tear upon the return of each hire and is certified at that time to be in good working order. All items are visually examined prior to the commencement of hire.
The hirer should make the company aware of the intended use of the equipment so the company can best advise suitable equipment & protection if needed. If this information is not supplied or is incorrect, any environmental damage to the equipment or unsuitability of the equipment supplied will be at the fault of the hirer and they will be liable for additional costs incurred.
Should Tourguidesystems.uk consider that the hirer is using the equipment inappropriately, illegally or unsafely then we reserve the right to terminate any contract of hire at any time, the customer will remain liable for the value of the hire.
